The Sadhu Vaswani Mission, named after the Founder, Sadhu T. L Vaswani is a humanitarian, not-for-profit service organisation which endeavours to reach out to society through its services in the fields of education, medical care, relief and rehabilitation and social welfare.
The MIRA movement in Education founded by Sadhu Vaswani was a revolutionary concept with its emphasis on character building and spiritual awakening.
The Sadhu Vaswani institute of Teachers’ Training (SVIOTT) for Girls, Pune, represents the culmination of our Rev. Founder’s dream to empower women in the interest of social and national progress.
For Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Education is not a commercial enterprise, but part of its highly idealistic programme of service to society. The institutions flourish under the support of enlightened Dada J.P. Vaswani, a world renowned spiritual leader and messenger of India’s spiritual heritage.
Nurturing SVIOTT
Sadhu Vaswani Institute of Teachers’ Training is one of the first Institutes in Pune that caters towards promoting a fulfilling career in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).
Inspired by the belief of Dada J.P. Vaswani that says ‘Children are your greatest treasures’, the Institute has committed towards giving each child the care it deserves through its training curriculum.
SVIOTT believes that every child needs a nurturing, stimulating and challenging environment that fosters and facilitates its physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. At the same time, equally important is its need for acceptance, loving care, appreciation and attention.
Keeping all this in mind, the SVIOTT course is meticulously and consciously designed to ensure developing a sound background in and understanding of relevant Early Childhood Education curricula and curriculum related subject matter.
The Sadhu Vaswani Institute of Teacher Training set out its humble beginning at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission in the year 2009.
Gaining acclaim as one of the finest in the said category, attaining a target of 100 percent placement for all graduating from the Institute and a rise in number of applications let to the need for a campus bigger than the one at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission.
Accordingly, the 3rd Academic Session was inaugurated at a new campus on the 1st floor of GURUKUL- located opposite the Mission grounds.
It was on 18th of July, 2011 that the new campus was inaugurated with a havan and puja at the sacred hour of 11am.
The Institute was also fortunate to receive Dada J.P. Vaswani’s kind words that further inspired the Institute to continue to strive to achieve greater heights and uphold the glorious name of Gurudev Sadhu Vaswani in the spirit of service and sacrifice.
